Jodo Shu Koukyouji Temple

Koukyouji is a Jodo Shu Buddhist temple with a history of approximately 450 years.
The temple was reduced to ashes by the atomic bombing of Hiroshima, and the present main hall
was rebuilt after the war through the efforts of the chief priest and parishioners of the time.
The temple grounds also include the Yakushido Hall, the Mizuko Kannon, the Six Jizo statues,
a cemetery, a communal eternal memorial grave, and a shared pet memorial grave.
